Mini Sessions: H Family

I was so impressed with the parents of this family! 4 kids and a dog, and they were SO calm and collected. Their kids were all very sweet, easy to photograph, and even laughed at my jokes. Well, at least they laughed at some of them. :)

Mini Sessions: E Family

I enjoyed photographing this family immensely. They were the first family (yay 9am photos!) on our mini session day this fall. They arrived early, armed with enough dry humor and wit to keep me laughing for the whole session. We're considering meeting every Saturday morning for pictures for the teens. Bright and early! What could be more fun! But seriously, you all were great!

Mini Sessions: D Family

This family was referred to me in one of the best ways possible. My aunt works with Candace (mom), and was showing her pictures of my kids, Candace liked the pictures, and booked a session for her own family. Nothing is better to me than a referral! Even better is that this family lives a few doors down from us, so I get to see these sweet little girls out and about in the neighborhood! Seriously, I can't get over the cuteness of these two sisters in their matching outfits. Thanks for the privilege of photographing your family, Candace & Mark!

Sneak Peek- Sweet girls!

First off, I'm baaa-aack! I have missed a few sessions in here, and for those who didn't receive sneaks, I'm sorry! Life has been CRAZY! It has been good, just crazy.
This session was so much fun. The family was super helpful, energetic, and excited for photos. They even had their Nanny "on-call" to help with the girls during the shoot. I can easily say that it took all three of us adults to wrangle the children! Not that the kids were difficult, they most certainly were the opposite.

The main "star" of the show was Camden, who was having pictures taken to commemorate her 6 months of life. She was such an easy, peaceful, happy little doll for the entire shoot. Even while she was being toted around from site to site, dressed/undressed, misc. bows/flowers on her head... Not a sad peep from her! It made my job sooo easy!

This is a truly kind and beautiful family!

Wedded Bliss: Christian & Michelle

My husband has known Christian & Michelle since their early college years. When they called to ask us to photograph their wedding, we were honored! Christian & Michelle have been together for over 8 years, and have been through a lot together. They have such a deep felt, secure, authentic love for each other. They have the kind of love that has obviously been tested by fire and come out beautiful. It is amazing to see how Christian looks at Michelle with this incredible adoration. You can tell he treasures everything about her and feels honored to be her husband. Michelle's love for Christian is no less obvious. They aren't obvious in the over-the-top-obnoxious kind of way, but in the beautiful, genuine, no-one-else-is-here-but-us way. Its wonderful. Thanks to Christian & Michelle for this privilege! We hope your photos are a way to remember the beginning of your marriage forever.

The G Family

I have known this family for... over 10 years. It took me a minute to calculate! The oldest daughter was in the Bible Study I led back when I was a freshman in college. It is so incredible to think she was just 13 back then! And now she is a lovely adult! Her siblings aren't too bad either. :) We had a great time toughing out the heat, wind, and bugs on this typical Nebraska summer day. We laughed a lot, and managed to squeeze a good experience out of that humidity! The kids gave their mom a gift certificate for this session, and I was overjoyed. Their mom & I had been trying to work out a session for a couple of years now, so I was glad the kids took the initiative to get this together for their mom. This is just an all around great family, and I was honored to take their photos.

Spring Mini Sessions: the T Family

What a cute family! These boys are twins, and have the sweetest relationship. They are funny, energetic, and easy to photograph. Their mom is really kind, and just started her own jewelry business! It is always fun to meet other small business owners. We have to stick together, right? Boys this age are so fun. Nothing entertains them more than to make goofy faces and see themselves on the camera screen. We indulged in this for a good portion of the shoot! Their mom and grandma were good sports to play along with our games.

Mini Sessions: D Family

Love this dynamic mother-daughter duo! Little Miss Z. has such a spunky, fun, playful, demeanor! She had SO much energy but was also SO helpful and polite! Her mom is super sweet and nice, you can tell they have a great relationship. Part of the joy of photography for me is to try to get to know my clients in the short time I have with them and capture their relationships and personalities. It is a puzzle and a challenge, and I love the process. These two were so much fun to work with.

Spring Mini Sessions: the K Family

This family was so much fun! They had a great sense of humor, and we toughed out the extreme humidity and masses of mosquitos with lots of laughs! It is always enjoyable to see a family who really enjoys each other and knows how to have fun. And their son? SO CUTE! I mean handsome. I'm sure he's too old to want to be called cute! But that red hair? Love it! We played catch a little in between photos, we can't have all work and no play, right?

Mini Sessions: B Kids

Brother & Sister! I love photographing this combination of kids, as it gives me a glimpse into what our lives will be like in a few years, with the big sister and little brother. I actually photographed these kids 3 years ago in this exact location! At the time, I didn't know their family from Adam. Now, their mom is the awesome admin person at the church my husband pastors. It is such a small world! These kids were a blast to work with. The girl, M, is energetic and outgoing, loves to set up adorable poses, and fun to talk with! The son, C, is sweet, quiet(er), and has the greatest grin. They were easy and fun!

Mini Sessions: R Family

Sometimes I feel like the luckiest person in the world. Photographing this family was one of those moments. My husband Scott, has known the father of this motley crew for many years. They are kind, funny, witty, and gracious. I am so thankful to have had a reason to catch up with them once again! Yes, they have four boys, and yes, they are awesome! Each of their boys has such a unique personality and each of them looks like a unique combination of their mom & dad. It was great fun watching they boys scale walls, run around, make funny jokes, and keep their parents on their toes.

Mini Sessions: J Family

This sweet family found me by way of referral from a referral from a referral. I love meeting clients this way, knowing there is a connection somewhere down the history of our shared acquaintances. This family was my first family to arrive for mini shoots. They were all decked out, with three kids ready to go, and we had some serious technical difficulties! I had to reschedule all of the morning sessions, and we only had a few minutes with this family. We will have another session in a few days, but I thought I'd post a few anyways!

Mason- Senior

I have the privilege of living in the same town as a lot of my extended relatives. On occasion, I get called on to photograph someone in the family. This is always hilarious, as our family is a blast and I love them! My cousin Mason doesn't love the camera, so we did a quick & painless session for his senior pictures. He didn't complain, so I called it a success. (And his Mom loved the photos, so what more could I ask for?)

Easter

These are my beautiful kids on Easter. Evelyn and James are the lights of our lives, and we have such a ball with them! I can't complain to have two precious models living in my house. They  might complain about having the camera in their faces all of the time, but I sure won't! :)

Grace

Sweet Grace! I have been photographing Grace since she was still in her Momma's tummy! It has been a true privilege to photograph this sweet girl for the last year or so. Her parents found me "out of the blue", and they have turned into some of my favorite clients. Grace's mom always has fun and creative ideas for pictures, and we have a great time.
